Mal C Posted yesterday at 11:27 Posted yesterday at 11:27 Had some very nice Aussie 45s through this week, plus a big stash of orig sleeves, all in minty condition... The Charts, dead hard on Aussie Sceptre, taken me years to get a demo of this, but I noticed immediately, that the 45 I had, differed from the aussie Demo on Discogs, on Discogs, 'Desiree' is the push side with demo sticker and no release Stamp, but on my copy 'Fell In Love With You Baby' is the demo'd side, anybody know which was the official A side on this release? (popped all the scans below) Shelley Fabares - Lost Summer Love, I think the original version of Lorraine Silver, came out on Aussie Philips in 1965, originally released on Vee-Jay Records Stateside and was meant to have come out on PYE International over here, but it never came out, so as far as I know, US and Aus only on this one. Anybody know if it came out any where else?  A good pop record, dare I say 'Northern' lol Malc 2
Soul-slider Posted yesterday at 20:11 Posted yesterday at 20:11 Good catches! I noticed (years ago) that the Shelley Fabares also has the same b-side as Lorraine Silver's 45, 'I Know You'll Be There'.Â
Mal C Posted 3 hours ago Author Posted 3 hours ago Yep same flip side as Lorraine Silver, Lorraine must have had the yank copy when she nipped into a booth on Oxford Street to record her version… it’s a great story isn’t it. 1
