Guest Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Out of all the local radio stations in Dorset, not ONE has responded to emails I have sent! This proves to me that they're only interested in money spinning and not for celebrating music itself. Anyone else feel the same?

Take the piss all you want but it's not helping the readership of soul.

Pete S Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Karen, there must be a dozen record dealers on this site, why not ask them all if they'll either send your flyers out with their daily post or ad an advert onto their mailing list. I put 4 lists out last week, that would have been seen 4 x 1500+ times...and obviously I'd have done it as a favour for doing my site.
Guest Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Thanks for the offer Pete I don't think our patronage will come further than say 15 miles though, so that's why I'm trying to keep it advertised locally
Dave Morris Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Karen, I'd hope they'd come from slightly further afield. We'll have to see. Dave.
mischief Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Is there enough soulies within 15 miles of your do to make it a sucess if they all turned up or would numbers still be down?
Makemvinyl Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Go on give us some email addresses we can pester

Guest Carl Dixon Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Soulgirl - I have the same problem trying to pursuade stations to listen to my music, especially as it is new, sounding old. However, I do get favourable comments here and there from others, but, nothing! A real shame.

I believe there is, it's untapping that quota that I'm interested in hence trying to get local radio stations involved and standing on street corners
