- What title of Patti Austin was it and what was its reserve / starting price ?

Hi Tim, normally I screen shot the auction and post pictures with the info supplied. Unfortunately I forgot this time.

The Luther Ingram was green label, styrene, Parker Street address, Distributed by Atco record sales co. under artists name.

I think Lucky Charms was rather reasonable. Although I don't know what condition it was in.

How rare is the Larry Allen release these days? From what I remember the L. Allen 2nd press is much more common but even that seems to have vanished....

Not to slide off the topic here but the L. Allen versus the Larry Allen has been discussed on here before (LAYB) years ago. Leaning to the conclusion that the L. Allen would be first.

Even though the Larry Allen press would prove to be slightly rarer after all... But not that much. All this against all old beliefs. Like many thinks. After the internet even more so.

FWIW Popsike gives 11 copies of the Larry Allen sold on the eVilBay and 12 copies of the L. Allen sold on the eVilBay. The difference there if ever is not consistent. Discogs 1 of each.

Am I the only one that finds the "900 copies in the trunk" story complete twaddle , it's the sort of bullsh*ttery you use to hear spouted as fact at 3am at an all-nighter back in the day.

Who in their right mind would try and recycle the vinyl from 900 singles by hiding them in a car that's about to be crushed at a scrapyard ... it's a story that the mighty Fudge would be proud of ...
