compared to what - Roberta flack recordings

Hi All,

quick question hoping someone may know.. regarding "Roberta Flack's - compared to what", apart from removing verses  to fit a 7" time wise , is the single a different take recorded at the same session? a totally different session ? or just cut / edited from the same tapes...

thanks for any info / knowledge folk may have on this..
