Simsy Posted October 1 Posted October 1 I only recently heard this on the radio. With its Javells sounding intro, my ears pricked up. I have to say I like it. They’re a UK outfit who’ve been around for a few years with quite a few releases. This for me has that Winehouse Rehab impact and I’d be interested to hear your thoughts.
Shinehead Posted October 1 Posted October 1 (edited) It's a no from me. Edited October 1 by Shinehead 1
Russoul1 Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Heard it today........rubbish, couldn't even make out what singing about 1
baudrillard Posted October 1 Posted October 1 I really like it. Better than quite literally dozens of records that have been played on the soul scene 1
Tlscapital Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Unbearable, embarrassing and so 'today's bourgeois' like. 2

I don’t see that as reasonable comment regarding this track. As has already been stated, it’s tons better than some of the Emporers new funk shite I’ve heard played out. Few band wagon jumpers on this thread. Edited October 1 by Simsy

Awful Glad I dont listen to the radio ffs. And the dancing is shoite too 1
Stompingsevens Posted October 2 Posted October 2 I prefer this one by them which I think is brilliant and the dancing is quite mesmerising and it's LIVE! 1
Simsy Posted October 2 Author Posted October 2 Well we are all entitled to our opinions. Thought some might have a more open minded approach, but I suppose folk get set in their ways and it’s oh so easy to jump on the bandwagon, sigh. To my mind and ear, it had a good intro, a good beat and great backing vocals. Chummy out front wouldn’t look out of place at the Kings Hall in his loafers, chinos & singlet. Yet it was awful, embarrassing, even the man from del monte had a say. Next time there’s someone crossover dirge being discussed, I’ll think of this thread.
