3   Billy Butler & The Enchanters – My Heart Is Hurting b/w Can’t Live Without Her – Okeh WDJ M- £75 mint vinyl demo of this great double sider & a tough number, catchy upbeat dancer & mid-tempo flip, just brilliant

4   The Canes – I’ll Never Give Her Up (My Friend) – Stax S123 Ex £175 conservatively priced & graded, one of the toughest / rarest on the label, a superb mid-tempo group harmony dancer from this doo-wop group, seldom listed in this condition & apart from slight wear on outer rim & slight surface noise on run-in & plays superbly thereafter & looks Ex+ / M-, books at £250+ if you can find one     -     SOLD 

5   The Charades – Love Of My Life b/w Can’t Make It Without You – Okeh WDJ Ex+ £125 one of the toughest to find on the label & near mint vinyl demo, superb latinesque upbeat dancer arranged and conducted by the great Horace Ott

6   The Cheers – Take Me To Paradise – Okeh WDJ M- £125 a lovely mint demo of this fabulous mid-tempo group dancer with a crossover feel, ex Wilton biggie of years gone by & now getting recognition

7   Phil Colbert – Where Was I b/w That’s All It Was – Smash WDJ M- £50 mint vinyl demo of this great double sider, big voiced big city soul mid-tempo dancer & upbeat popcorn dancer on flip

8   Johnny Cole & The Mondells – No Love – Saluda Records M- £125 just great, lovely vocals on this mid-tempo mover from 1972 that sounds more like 1968 but it’s great & obscure

9   Jimmy Connor – Let’s Get Married b/w The Reality Of Life – Shelly M- £150 double sided magical mid-temponess with great vocals & a crossover feel on Shelly Garrett’s obscure Californian label, was £200+ 10 years ago & is so hard to find, highly recommended

10 Eli The Prophet – Take A Little Give A Lot – Ala WDJ M- £125 mint vinyl demo of this 1973 raw voiced latin influenced mid-tempo dancer, old Bidds & Wilton spin

11 The Foundations – Change My Life – UK Psycho 1978 M- £75 a real toughie from this veteran group, Clem Curtis on lead on a superb catchy mid-tempo modern mover & old Soul Sam spin, a non US 45 release & hard number

12 John Gary Williams – The Whole Damn World Is Going Crazy – Stax M- £75 very slight label aging only vinyl M-, mid-tempo modern room classic from the Mad Lads frontman, such a statement record
