Side A same as The Thornton Sisters on Cuppy, atmospheric big voiced mid-pace / mid-tempo grower

Side B Van McCoy co-penned mid-tempo dancer & just great, both sides produced by Lieber & Stoller

2   Maxine Brown - Ask Me b/w Yesterday’s Kisses – Stateside SS188 Ex- / VG++ £75

½ price due to condition, flip has lots of scuffs / surface marks & wear but actually plays superbly

Side A mid-pace pleading ballad

Side B big production big voiced upbeat dancer – same as Big Maybelle

Signed by Maxine in the bottom left hand corner of the company sleeve

Tough demo copy, £150+ in guides

 

3   The Platters – I Love You 1,000 Times b/w Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil, See No Evil – Stateside SS511 M- £125

Worn demos currently listed at £100+, this is pristine on both sides & what a lovely item

Side A great mid-tempo dancer

Side B Fabulous drivin’ dancer with superb lyrics

One of their best sides from 1966 produced by the great Luther Dixon
