Dobber Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 Utterly pointless topic I suppose,I notice small details here and there, recently this little detail in the recording, might be my ears? the original 45 has a finger snap and hi-hat sound in the intro and eventually onto a drum beat, however the reissued Kent version has a drum beat straight from the onset, has this been added on,or simply emphasised?
John Reed Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 (edited) There are occasions where the Kent releases differ from the released records as sometimes the master tapes don't specify what version it is. There was a thread on here regarding the subject quite a few years ago. Edited September 4, 2024 by John Reed 2
Frankie Crocker Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 Top tune however you look at it. A good example of how diverse music can be, and despite a few quirks, can make it to the big time. I can’t remember which film it featured in - Soulboy perhaps - but it was perfect for that particular scene. 1
Ted Massey Posted September 5, 2024 Posted September 5, 2024 The Ravins is different from the original 1
Dobber Posted September 5, 2024 Author Posted September 5, 2024 Will have a listen to the variation in the 2 recordings ted
Ladymidnight Posted September 5, 2024 Posted September 5, 2024 Same thing with Eddie Parker - But if you must go on the Deep Soul release, a little different from the MAM if memory serves. 1
