More like subtly different mixes than versions to be honest Mal , C-143 and C-152. One's a tad 'brighter' (152).

Not all correct but to name just two: The late Boba was the first to had unearthed Emeralds on Vick, United Sounds by Greg Belson (fun fact I had Mark alongside Greg as guest DJ`s at one of my anniversaries when Greg not knowing Mark was playing the US as a C/UP dropped the needle on it with all DJ`s in the room rushing to the decks to see what it is. Mark was sitting next to me...the look on his face was priceless LOL

Also wouldn’t the emeralds play side be “catch me I’m falling” ? Rather than “beware” Marc?

A lot of the acetates are uncredited , so names have been attributed to them , rather than being cover-ups per se.

Lebaron Strings - I Have Faith In You (inst) This acetate was sold by Mick Smith well over a decade ago, I missed out on it, but its the same as Doni Burdick as far as I can tell.

Vivian Carroll - Oh Yeah Yeah (long intro) - I guess the orig cut, the 45 got the shortened to a radio edit?

Jimmy Bishop Trio - If You Can't Be True - nothing on this what so ever.

Clay Fulton - One Hundred Years (Unreleased) - no idea, good though

Jimmy Sherman - My Heart's Wide Open - no idea, good though

Lebaron Strings - I Have Faith In You (inst) This acetate was sold by Mick Smith well over a decade ago, I missed out on it, but its the same as Doni Burdick as far as I can tell.

I thought Imperial C's was first played by Butch after reading his quote in an article about Soul Bowl. 

"On one occasion i asked John about a record by the Imperial Cs on Phil la Soul, which has appeared on the main sales list the week before; "what's it like", I asked? John's reply was, "give it a play", as it didn't sell and was still in the sales box. Price was £8 and the rest is history!"

Did he pass it on to Dave Thorley or had he (Dave) already got a copy

I heard the Imperial C's first on a Dave Raistrick unknowns tape he sent me in around 1981. Could have sworn it went to Jimmy Wensiora from there as Jimmy was buying loads off Dave at that time. First heard the Blendels "you need love" on that very same tape that Tim B has up for auction at this moment.

different version of Ann Haywood on Hondo, and he used to spin a real fast track at the 100 club, with a kinda Latin break, can’t remember the name, it’s on Jet Set records… 

The alt version of Ann Haywood is by Vikkie Anders on The Cream Co.

The flip Is a really nice crossover sound if my memory serves me right

Thanks for all the contributions and suggestions.  Not all are correct from my own perspective, but that's understandable considering that I have dj'd at the best upfront venues for the last 40 years and I dont expect people to keep a diary of my discoveries.  Ill try and get a comprehensive list together to iron out some of the inconsistencies.

Correct Simon. I have an acetate of the George Pepp, which is not different from the issue.

Correct, I got it off Soul Bowl in 1979. It was a total unknown at the time and I didnt bother to cover it up.  The odd copy popped up in the 80s, but I dont remember Dave thorley or Jim wensiora playing it.

I got the Vikki Anders on an acetate in LA in about 1990. I wasn't sure if it got a release until years later when it turned up on Cream & Co.

New Wanderers-aint gonna do you no harm-Ready.   Discovered by myself and Tim Ashibende in 1981 in a shop in Pennsylvania. It went into my collection and ultimately later in my playbox.  Some years later Tim, on a US trip found an acetate of the record. As I recall it was slightly different than the issue, but sound-wise an inferior cut.
