a few words on the thinking behind posting this clip may be helpful and get some discussion going?

Smelled like some hesitating AI thing to me at first.

Maybe not. Weird pseudo / avatar name for a soul...

First post after registering in November 2017. Odd !

The red flags and alarms were set off because your previous 'user name' was "Google Account" , that's enough to make anyone think you were a bot of some description as well as no posts at all since joining seven years ago.

I thought AI initially assumed the vocal was Diana Ross, further searches brought up this being discussed on Soulful Detroit. https://soulfuldetroit.com/showthread.php?20365-Supremes-amp-Stevie-Wonder-I-ll-Wait-a-Lifetime-Demo

It's indeed the whole shebang that I found rather odd (not aimed as an insult if ever - cringe !) since such 'mash-up' jobs were a sport back then (not saying it is for sure just leaving the possibility to be) so it could well be some sort of YT resurrection too as this 6 year and a half 'soulfuldetroit' link tells us... Although the high frequencies distortions in the audio has 'hairs' on some charged backing vocals passages that tend to indicate groove wear (acetate ?)...

It isn't listed on DFTMC so not sure of the origins or who found it or where. Jean Terrell on vocal to begin with.

It was posted by somebody located down-under, not the first rarity he has posted, unreleased Janet Jackson's songs, Steve Wonder's original version of the Roberta Flack / Donny  Hathaway's released Don't Make Me Wait Too Long, extended versions of Steve's releases (You are the sunshine of my life), and James Brown goofing around at one of his former radio stations. I'd also love to know where he is getting his hands on this material.
