1   Darrell Banks – I’m The One Who Loves You b/w Just Because Your Love Is Gone – Volt VOA4014 M- £150 mint vinyl issue, most are styrene, of this Detroit mid-tempo crossover classic from July 1969 from the pen of the great Melvin Davis

2   Vivian Copeland – Oh No Not My Baby b/w I Don’t Care – D’oro M- £80 awesome vocals & what a version with the added bonus of a fabulous mid-pace crossover flip, no label number on printed text but actually 1006

3   The Dells – Thinkin’ About You – Cadet 5538 M- £80 just superb, awesome lead vocals & harmonies on this fabulous mid-tempo group dancer, old Wilton floor filler & a mint vinyl copy     -     SOLD

4   Johnny Dixon – Where Are You b/w The Super Sonic Strings – Instrumental Version – Boss 103 M- £100 fabulous atmospheric big voiced big production Detroit mid-tempo gem, same as The Four Sonics, lovely clean copy

5   Miss LaVell – Stop These Teardrops – Duke 307 Ex+ £100 feint scuff only otherwise mint & a hard label number to find on the early label design, old Middleton spin & a great raw drivin’ upbeat R & B dancer, books at £150+ now & seldom listed

6   Betty LaVette – Let Me Down Easy – Calla 102 M- £80 so hard to find in this condition & early label number, a great raw voiced atmospheric mid-pace grower & pleading vocals, arranged & produced by two master craftsmen

7   Little Herman – One Out Of A Hundred – Arlen 749 M- £75 Little Herman Bean, superb youthful mid-tempo Philly dancer, old Hyde Botanical & Parr Hall spin that still sounds great

8   Little Herman – Gotta Keep On Walking b/w I’m Gonna Put The Hurt On You – Arlen 751 M- £125 what a double sider, drivin’ big production upbeat dancer – ex Stafford spin & great raw uptempo R & B dancer on flip, revived plays for both sides     -     SOLD

9   Ray Pettis – Don’t Use Me – Exodus EX2012 M- £60 long under rated catchy R & B dancer that had a few plays in the 80’s & then disappeared, now getting interest & not easy to find, recommended     -     SOLD 

10 The Spinners – I Just Can’t Help But Feel The Pain – Motown M1136 M- £45 so hard to find in good condition, what a great group dancer, mint vinyl copy

11 The Variations – Yesterday Is Gone – Bob Joy BJ1001 M- £50 1st label release on Bob Rice’s local Cleveland label before Okeh, pressed on lightly pitted vinyl but plays superbly throughout, a great uplifting mid-tempo group dancer

12 The Velvelettes – A Bird In The Hand (Is Worth Two In The Bush) b/w Since You’ve Been Loving Me – V.I.P. 25030 M- £45 obscure label release from this great girl group, a fabulous upbeat dancer, mint copy & another tough side to find from 1965     -     SOLD
