As you will probably know, the Thunderbird release is a 1970's USA reissue made many years after the original 1960's Charger release. It's a bit like the early 1970's reissue of Dickie Wonder that was released on Golden Triangle label to coincide with the release of The Free Angela Davis L.P. Another USA reissue made several years after the original mid 60's Sound of Soul label originals. It mystifies me why people pay a lot of money for them instead of going for the originals!! The Dickie Wonder release is slightly different compared to a straight reissue as its the only way to get his version of All My Friends Call Me A Fool, which has its own champions especially on the West Coast Low Rider scene. Hence £480 on JM this week ? Imagined it was one of those tunes that had been mostly forgotten since the 80s / 90s I don’t go out to events anymore, thats why I was enquiring . I think I only paid about 75 quid for my copy, probably 10 years ago. off craig Moerer. i deffo first heard it a 100 club , and from a tape swap with Alan Handscome around the same early 90s Link to comment Social source share
