His daughter, Lauren Mercurius-Mascoll, told the Jamaica Observer that James passed away at Northwick Park Hospital. Hooker1951 Posted May 15 Posted May 15 Very Sad news indeed, Jimmy James never let his audience down, I had the good fortune to see him on numerous occasions over the last 50 years and he was a great live performer as well as being a fantastic recording artist, For me he was always underrated but Jimmy could hold his own with the best, some of his recordings are very special in his own unique Style R i P Jimmy James Mick Lyons
