Hi

An old Mecca/Torch pal has asked me to do a CD for him. I've never done one of these before!

I was given a new and unused 'Sound One' USB deck a few years ago. Some of the 45s requested are worth a few bob and therefore I'm wondering if it would be safe/OK to use this deck whilst preventing damage to the records. Am I being paranoid?

Also, can anyone recommend the most suitable CDs for this endeavour?

TIA

Julian

You'll want CDrs that can be finalised into an Audio CD (not CDRWs which are rewriteable data CDs).

Any CDrs sold should do the job.  You'll need some software that does it for you. I used to do it all the time, but not written a CD in a good ten years or more now so I've forgotten which I used.

If you are worried about a particular rare track and dont want to damage your vinyl then you can download it from YouTube with programmes easily

Nero is what i used for burning but had a programme called sonix before that
