Jerry Hipkiss Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Just waded through Dave Rimmers complex Jackie Lee discography on Soulfulkindamusic.net...can anyone confirm that the Walter Hammond and Earl Nelson versions of "Let your conscience be your guide" on Duo Disc are one and the same? If so they're the same as the version on the B-side of Jackie Lee "The Duck", and poor Dave's got some more additions...
Guest Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Bit confused Jerry, but hopefully this is want you want ... the Walter Hammond on Duo Disc and Jackie Lee on Mirwood are the same song, but different versions. Dave could add the whole Jay Dee album too, I suppose plus the UK only 45's.

Thanks Simon, only heard the Walter Hammond once and it sounded the same to me! Now, what about the Earl Nelson on Duo Disc 108? Is that the same as the Mirwood cut, and is the B-side the same song as "Send for me, I'll be there"? Label listing courtesy of Mr. Flynn... https://www.capitolsoulclub.homestead.com/C...ilylisting.html So many questions...
Guest Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Blimey, I never knew Earl Nelson was on on Duo Disc.. you learn something new every day ! Walter Hammond and Jackie Lee might well have the same backing track, but if so it's defiantely been messed around with overdubbed/remixed whatever you want to call it. I'd love to hear Earl Nelson on myself now.
Guest Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 Does anyone have a soundclip or scan of Earl Cosby on Duo -Disc?
