Strange thing around the time 92ish when Charles & Eddie , Would I Lie To You , was released I can remember a conversation I had with the late Francis Terry Thomas RIP , and he said " one day this will get a spin on the Northern scene , bloody great record " . As anybody ever played it out ?

Gawd forbid that records that made #1 across most of europe ever get played out at a northern night , that would be barrel-scraping of the lowest order ... 

Donny bloody Osmond covered it ten years later , if that's not enough to get it sent straight to rare soul Room 101 then nothing is.

Why is it that a lot of average pop singers are getting a lot of air time on Soul Source lately ? There is enough real soul music from America to keep me i going for the rest of my life without having to check out the likes of Texas even if it is recorded at Muscle Shoals, Soul it ain't.
