5   Jimmie & Jean with Ike Turner Orchestra – I Can’t Believe – Sue 45-743 Demo M- £60 seldom listed mint vinyl demo copy of this great raw mid-tempo R & B duet, recommended

6   Lil & René – Keep A Lite (Showerin’ Down) – Reprise R20,206 M- £40 gospel tinged raw drivin’ R & B duet / dancer, deceptively slow intro then breaks into a real stormin’ dancer, has listed for £100+

7   Johnny Nash – What Kind Of Love Is This b/w Deep In The Heart Of Harlem – Canadian RCA Victor / Groove 58-0021 M- £100 what an obscure & lovely label release, copies the US Groove label format & colouration to a tee but with RCA Victor logo across the top, near mint, two wonderful early sides from 1963 upbeat big city soul self-penned dancer & mid-tempo tenement woe on the flip[ penned by Jimmy Radcliffe & Carl Spencer, just great

8   The Spaniels – Maybe – Buddah BDA153 M- £50 mint vinyl issue of this old Soul Sam spin, Pookie Hudson on lead, superb upbeat crossover group dancer, so under rated

9   Gladys Tyler – Hurry On Down To My House – Coral 62389 Demo M- £75 raw voiced drivin’ mid-tempo R & B dancer from this great singer, nice mint demo

10 Varetta & The Thomases – Breaking Hearts b/w Fly By Night – Brent 7040 WDJ M- £100 mint vinyl demo of this great raw voiced double sided dancer from Varetta Dillard, big city soul meets R & B / Popcorn, whatever its two great sides & a tough one to find in this condition

11 The Vibrations – Lonesome Little Lonely Girl – Atlantic 45-2204 WDJ M- £30 slight label aging only vinyl M-, nice demo & a fabulous piece of early group soul, big city soul meets doo-wop dancer, a great side from a great group – just superb

12 Mighty Joe Young – Ladies Man – Celtex C214 M- £45 great artist & his toughest side to find, raw uptempo drivin’ R & B dancer from this Chicago blues man, £100 a few years back
