Soulfulsolutions Posted January 29, 2024 Posted January 29, 2024 (edited) Here we go with a spattering of rare and collectable 45s up for grabs. Happy to send additional images, or sound files, can hold til pay day PM any questions or to reserve. Chantells with Aqua Lads – I’ll never know – Aqua 8755 M- £300 HOLD (North Carolina label that’s a giver, every release a good un’, this chirpy girly dancer is up there, the Aqua Lads resigned to horns and drums!) Gloria & T-Aires – I’m satisfied / Running out of time – Betty 1204 Ex+ £750 (Chicago double sider, glorious label design, some light wear on spindle hole) Roy "Cortez" Butler – A Dream –Boo 102 Ex £400 HOLD (So hard to find Detroit solo, same as the Brothers of Soul on Shock outing, light mark DNAP) Future – I can’t stop – CAR 1001 M- £60 SOLD (I couldn’t find anywhere that’s listed this, Google obviously confused with a search for “The Future”, and what I did find I didn’t like the look of 8). Simple Detroit groover from 67, sounds modern tho! Maybe that was the future in 67) Age of Bronze – I’m gonna love you – Guava 103 Ex £400 (Captivating Chicago group dancer, Vinyl copy, name etched into label, can hardly see it, label is graded Ex-, minor edge lift DNAP M-) Otis Brown – Find somebody new – Lujuna 10655 Ex £125 (Classy mid-tempo from Chicago, same as the ‘Soulettes’ on Dud-Sound and suspect they are backing this beauty. Light edge lift DNAP) Tobi Legend – Time will pass you by – Mala 591 M- £1400 HOLD (Rare stock copy of the quintessential Northern track, hairs on the back of the neck every time) John Bowie – You’re gonna miss a good thing (baby) – Merben 503 WD M- £850 SOLD (Rare demo of this Northern Anthem, small black sticker on top label) Carol & Gerri – On you, heartaches look good / How can I ever find away – MGM 13568 YDJ M- £550 SOLD (One of the most in-demand double siders of recent years, 2 fantastic sides and in prime condition) Tyrone Edwards – You did it / Main ingredient – OLAM 1101 M- £700 (Lovely modern soul with a respected ballad flip, rare Detroit) Velvelettes – These things will keep me loving you – SOUL 35025 Ex £150 (Rare West coast demo of this lilting Hitsville winner, scuff on one side DNAP) Eddie Hill – You got the best of me – Thelma 105 WD Ex £375 (So much rarer on white demo than the burgundy issue, looks M- bar the solitary mark, very light pops for couple of revolutions, not tried to clean it, it may come out, doesn’t affect overall quality of play. Ignore the finger print at 9 o'clock!) Shaddows – Together again – United Artists 5989 M- £500 (Heard this first-time years ago, stunning Northern dancer, everything about it says class. Youngstown, Ohio release) Velvelettes – Lonely, lonely girl am I / I’m the exception to the rule – V.I.P. 25017 WD Ex+ £250 (Hard to find East coast vinyl demo, thick lined copy, who’d have though both of their most collectable on the same list) PayPal by Friends please or I can send bank details. Postage (Set at Royal Mail price rises in effect from 02 Oct 23): £4.45 – First Class Signed For (Insured to £50, so at buyers’ risk, if 45 value is more) £8.15 – Special Delivery (Fully insured up to £750) £9.15 – Special Delivery (Fully insured up to £1000) £11.15 – Special delivery (Fully insured up to £2500) Overseas on request ATB, Lee Edited January 30, 2024 by Soulfulsolutions
