Thanks Geeseland. An interesting article about a genre of English music that has not thus far gained much mainstream attention. I used to commute by car to Brixton in the late 80s into the 90s  - a long journey and often for the last 45 minutes I'd listen to KISS FM. Their policy at the time was to feature 'Streetsoul' with loads of white labels and limited releases.  I got to hear lots of new  sounds some of which I sought out and bought. Here are two of my favourite examples - on the  4 Visions label and a white label that were around about 1990.

Numero soul have recently bought out an excellent double vinyl LP of the 4 Visions label that operated from 1990 -94. There's also a brilliant essay included on this very subject.

I know a few on here are interested in street soul, nice, well informed, feature in the link below. Got me digging through some of my crates to listen to loads of white labels from the 90's with fresh ears. Sadly I ignored most of it at the time, I was too taken with soulful house.

Hi Geeseland. This was recorded in London a couple of years ago. I loved it and bought it. UK Street Soul revival par excellence. It could have been recorded in the late 90s.  Rather confirms the content of the article that you posted.
