Peter99 Posted January 2 Posted January 2 (edited) It's pouring with rain, need something to brighten up the day - this one has been amusing me over the last few days - from Arthur Alexander. Better known for his Monument recording I Need You Baby. On a podcast from Sean Hampsey, with Tats Taylor, Tats said the I Need You Baby outing was his favourite soul record. Tastes change, I wonder if Tat's has. Anyway, I'm rambling. This makes me smile. Peter Edited January 2 by Peter99 error 1

Popular Post Benji Posted January 5 Popular Post Posted January 5 How about Exciters "Blowing up my mind"? No need to quote, there are plenty of lines in these lyrics that could make one smile. Anyway, my favourite line "It's almost like eating beans by the pound. Then wrapping up in adhesive tape from the waist down" 4

Popular Post Johndelve Posted January 10 Popular Post Posted January 10 All the lyrics to this brilliant record are superb, but too many to print here. Just a sample, though: " She goes to bed every night With her fists balled up tight And then out of the bed Hollering, "Come on Maskman, I'm ready to fight!" That's what she said That's what she trying to start And then she run to the kitchen and get the water hot She missed me with the water but she caught me with the pot She picked a can of biscuits and I gave the dog a bite He been barking at the moon and acting stupid all night" 3 1
