Only really familiar with The Stiperstones from Malcolm Saville's "Lone Pine" series along with the Long Mynd. I do recall an outcrop called "Cranberry Rock" though and a quick 'google' has lead me to a whole new bunch of berries to investigate , as well as rekindling memories of some great reading , off to find the books again now , thanks for the memory jog ... https://www.shropshirewildlifetrust.org.uk/blog/autumn-berries 2
Soul Salad Posted December 23, 2023 Author Posted December 23, 2023 As a family none of us particularly "like" turkey (we don't mind it), but if it weren't for tradition, cranberry and of course bread sauce, we wouldn't even bother with a turkey. Anybody never had bread sauce/heard of it that "may" give it a go this year? - if so, forget home-made, buy a ready-made luxury one for £2. PS "Moving into Summer" did you say Twoshoes? You ARE the Optimist!
Happy Feet Posted December 23, 2023 Posted December 23, 2023 (edited) All our Xmas plans have been postponed, not for any bad reasons , so just the 2 of us decided we're not going to bother with a Turkey and all the trimmings , gone for a Rib roast with YPs and a winter roast instead, cheese board & yes Xmas pudding creme brulee 1 big one to share , so no bread sauce for us this year Edited December 23, 2023 by Happy Feet
