Robr Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 I didn't know Max that well but many of my friends did and they only have nice things to say about him. My condolences to his family and friends at this sad time. R.I.P. Max Robin
Andy Cullup Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 Max had a great taste in music and put me onto many new sounds. Still have some records that have his name written on the label. Lovely friendly character who loved his soul music RIP Max
Mark R Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 An extremely sad day, a top man, loved by all and a fellow red to boot. RIP Max Mark R
Davey S Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 Didn't know Max as a friend but if he was at the Fleet in the 80's would definitely have rubbed shoulders. It's sad the amount of faces you associate with over the years that leave us , I wish I was one of those people that knew everybody. R.I.P
Ncfc Posted December 21, 2023 Posted December 21, 2023 Very Sad news. Always had a lot of time for Max.
Peter99 Posted December 21, 2023 Posted December 21, 2023 Very sad news indeed. Condolences to Max's family, and his close friends. As has been said already, Max had great taste in music, and I picked up lots of things from him, and some of the columns that he used to pen. Lots of respect. Peter
Benji Posted December 21, 2023 Posted December 21, 2023 Very sad news. Max was the very first UK DJ I ever heard here in Munich. Sometime early 90s. I clearly remember him for the excellent music and until then he was the first guy I ever saw wearing sweatpants in a night club
PoolMan Posted December 23, 2023 Posted December 23, 2023 Such sad news. Max was always a true gent - a lovely, lovely man. I never met anyone who said anything bad about him, and everyone on the soul scene in Cambridge knew him. He contributed so much to the scene over such a long period. Forever missed, forever remembered. Condolences to his family. Dave K. 1
