soular Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 I'm referring to the main instrumental parts here and vocal harmonies in the background, not the vocals that were sampled and layered on top. I've had people say it's The Manhattans "Wish You Were Mine" but the instruments are much different. The phase/vibe guitar is not in the main version by The Manhattans. It's possible another version was recorded by The Manhattans but I haven't found it. Not to mention the string part in the vocaroo link is not in the version by The Manhattans.
