John May
QUESTION - with me being relatively new to all this - has there ever been a time when soul nites played this kinda stuff out all night long as apose to the up tempo, skip along stuff you hear out now There are veunes that play mid tempo, however venues with large dancefloors feel obliged to play dance floor records. Find a small venue with a small dancefloor, and forward thinking promoters and D.J's, and mid tempo heaven is what you'll get..........Try the Greatstone, Manchester, should just be your cup of tea . Guest NASHEE
forward thinking dj's play mid tempo ?? I think that it is possible to play some mid tempo tunes as part of a well thought out set..as long as the flow is there. I dont mean wishy washy slowies....I mean...great big production stuff with a good strong beat, but even then no one with an ounce of sense would do this unless they were sure that the punters were up for it. I guess when it comes down to it, it all depends on how the room feels on the night. Link to comment Social source share
