George Brown, long-time drummer of Kool & The Gang has died. Given how important drums are to soul music (and other popular music genres) I thought his passing should be noted on this website. R.I.P.

Yes, RIP George. His passing actually made the rolling news headlines on Sky.   

Great memories of Kool & The Gang and Fatback Band records spun at the first discos I went to at a local rugby club back in the early 70s.

Their Light Of Worlds album  was one of first soul/funk albums I bought. Still cherish (no pun intended) it now.
