6   The Checkmates Ltd – Never Should Have Lied – A & M (1039X) M- £15.00 raw voiced lead Spector produced drivin’ mid-tempo dancer from 1969, had plays in the 80’s recommended

7   The Groovers – Ain’t Too Proud To Beg – A & M (1150X) M- £30.00 great version from 1969, this is the Minit guys, drivin’ dancer with a strong lead & played as a cover up in the 80’s      -      SOLD

8   Leon Haywood – It’s Got To Be Mellow – Decca (32164) M- £30.00 lovely looking label on this obscure release, a fabulous self-penned mid-tempo dancer, recommended

9   Shorty Long – Wind It Up b/w Devil With The Blue Dress – Tamla (53500) M- £25.00 a tough one on the label for this 1964 US Soul R & B double sider

10 Garnett Mimms – Prove It To Me b/w I’ll Take Good Care Of You – United Artists (UA995) Ex £50.00 lovely item, slight label wear & feint surface marks plays superbly throughout, classic dancer & big ballad flip, hard Canadian issue books at £75

11 Jimmy Norman – I Don’t Love You No More (I Don’t Care About You) – Delta (D3173) M- £30.00 such an obscure release on the label & a lovely label for this drivin’ upbeat dancer

12 Jackie Shane – Any Other Way – Sue (776) Ex £45.00 lovely item, obscure Canadian issue & what a version, small file number w.o.l. & feint surface marks but plays M-, great price
