Superb copy of this mid 70’s soul winner, glides along on a wave of vocal ranges. I can never work out whether it’s the lead belting out high and low or the Luvlines taking turns, but then there appears to be an equally strong vocalist called Curtis Cary in the group, so chances are he’s in on the act too.

Outrageously uplifting dancer and a guaranteed floor filler, and it has to be, the label owner Dave Coutts was previously a psychologist who clearly wanted to bring a bit of joy to the wellbeing of the world, and it does that in spades.

As much as I love them, it’s fair to say that when you look further than Canada’s commercial releases of US Soul, there’s a wide spread of independent labels serving up top quality Soul for the Northern scene, this little beauty is one fine example and in glorious condition.
