Smartzie Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 Eccentric northern soul. US new compilation. Had a quick listen and it's sound. My guess there's an interesting story about its creation?

Thinksmart Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 On the digital version available at Qobuz this is in 24bit quality and sounds wonderful. Their artist compilations of those on the above release are also excellent. Being a now rare, legal download service you can also pick the songs of your choosing from the single artist compilations. Ed Crook also has the wonderful Northern Soul dancer on the b-side to That's Alright available too. It's really worth digging into Numero at Qobuz. 1
Roburt Posted October 11, 2023 Posted October 11, 2023 Some Cleveland related cuts on this album. Mainly via Lou Ragland (& his contacts), Numero has released lots of Cleveland soul tracks, lots being unreleased or rare items ahead of Numero's involvement. I like the Boddies 7" box set in particular that they put out a few years ago. Isn't one of 45's now going for a wad of cash ?
