A hefty bunch of 45s from the sales box, loads of goodies here, many household titles, others understated and deserving of more respect, and many under book value, so bargains to be had.

(What an out and out stomper, superb lyrics, label tear and writing on flip label)

(Infectious tune, outstanding artist, light label wear)

 

Continental Four – Heaven must have sent you – Jay Walking 015 M- £15 SOLD

(Excellent sweet group cover of the Motown winner)

 

Marva Josie – Now is the time / Oohbiskubido – Julmar 500 Ex £50

(Excellent 2 sider, a horn back sassy vocal on the top side, the flip, ignore the title, its a decent soul dancer, on a great beat)

 

Joe Frazier – Come and get me love – Knockout 711 EX+ £10

(One of the greatest boxers of course, but he also knocked some songs out the park, his Cloverlay releases not to be missed, this is more laid back and slower paced but he does have a voice)

 

Fabulettes – If it wasn’t for the girls – Local 807 Ex £100

(A recent auction item for John Manship, and according to the write up a rare one, Sax Kari involvement in this raw bouncy NOLA release. 2 Xol)

 

Nat Wright – Mr. Love – Mercury 72980 WD M- dh £20

(Very nice uptempo dancer)

 

Madeline Bell – Picture me gone – Mod 1007 WD M- £40

(A stereotypical Northern girly sound, on a fabulous white label copy)
