Linda, my Wife or “Life” for the last 50 years, make sure we do not miss BLOCK ONE in Warrington every month on a Sunday afternoon 3pm until 9pm. This small nightclub in the centre of Warrington fills up quickly every session and “WHEELER BARRY FORD” host a brilliant line up of very good DJ’s, travelling to play at a very successful venue.

We, Linda and I think it is the best session we attend and enjoy great company, we have never had so many good friends, the great music, from Motown, Scar ,modern Northern and obviously the Classic Northern Soul floor fillers. The atmosphere is unbelievable and the regulars make everyone welcome, the laughter, singing and dancing is literally nonstop.

The list of regular DJ’s, Al Wick, Edward Lawford, Eddie Whiteside, Steve & Ronnie with Dave & Pog and of course Maestro Barry, would be enough but Barry keeps introducing guest DJ’s every session who absolutely love the bouncing dance floor and all want to return to what must be one of the best gigs a DJ can perform at!!!

The only down side is the dance floor could be 3 times the size but we guess that would still not be big enough, has we Both love to dance regularly clocking up 5 miles of dancing, and on a good we like last Sunday with Guest DJ’s POg and Sean we hit the 8 mile mark before driving home,  we obviously enjoy our regular monthly visit ,ensuring family visit are geared around  BLOCK ONE  it set’s us both up for the month.

We would like to thank Barry and Brenda his amazing wife, who keeps us all in line, the fantastic DJ’s , James, Selena & the staff and all our friends who make BLCK ONE what it is the best place to enjoy Northern Soul .

Thanks

Linda & John

It's wonderful to have that feeling and appreciation for the hard work there.  Nice of you to put it out there.

Sunday is Soul music day for me, from getting up to end of day - it's on all day across shows and my library.

When life permits we'll be out and about, especially on a Sunday - but Soul on Sunday is most definitely our thing.

I am a bit lost why this was posted originally in our main soul forum and not in the event guide comments

We do have a 'review' feature along with the event 'comments' feature in the event guide, so if do wish to spread the word or just inform people on events then the event guide is the best place to do it

So moving this to freebasing and closing this as per above
