Alan T Posted July 16, 2023 Posted July 16, 2023 Does anyone know the real name of the song on this Carl Hall mispress. It definately sounds like Carl but i cant find anything that fits with the people he was working with at the time. https://www.discogs.com/release/13023704-Carl-Hall-My-Babys-So-Good There's a soundbite from the seller on Discogs https://sa.discogs.com/sell/audio/861852841.mp3
imnokid Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 Very interesting. Certainly does sound like Carl. Curious to see if anyone can shed some light on it. And while we are talking Carl Hall, WHY is there nothing digitally available, even a Youtube rip, of He Gets Everything He Wants - Mercury 72547?!?!?!?!
Sebastian Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 There was a thread on Facebook in the Rare Soul Talk group about this last year, assumed title is "They Say" or "Run Run Run", but no one came up with any definitive answer. Must be Carl Hall singing. Longer soundclip here:

I thought the title could be something like "I'm Gonna Get You Someday" I have this record and there's a definate mistake were Carl forgets the lyrics and replaces a sentence with a hum, hum, hum. A possibility is the record was withdrawn after realising they'd sent the wrong cut to the pressing plant and then repressed with a different track "What's Come Over You" It's a styrene press so labels would of been added after the pressing. I think they pulled the record but some new labels ended up on the withdrawn discs. Edited July 19, 2023 by Alan T 1
