Bill Bush ended lower than I had expected but despite the fact that JM didn't comment on it in his condition report it does look like one of the ones that was pressed very off centre?

I'm very much into the Johnny Gilliam, but prefer the wonderful stock copy.

Is the issue worth that much more than a properly mint demo?

Maybe me, but can't see anything there to really get the blood racing, Johnny Gilliam is brill but that was about in sales boxes a long while back, got mine in 2009/10  I think, of Gene who used to be on here loads, and quite cheap, great but old now... I know they are all oldies!   Sandi Sheldon issue is great of course, but Bill Bush, I hate that record, always thought it was a Tony Galla type track, just no where near as good...

Maybe it's comedown from the Mello Souls...

Barbara Dane and Jimmy Ruffin look a bit hefty on the price tag to me……I’d have thought £150 each…..tops………or am I way out of date these days?

I agree it's a high price for the Jimmy Ruffin but it's one of those early 60s releases that sounds great out on the dance floor...maybe underrated?

I'm amazed at Decisions going for that much - there are mint demos on Discogs for much much less!

Madness.

Adam.

Sussex # 214 is the cheaper one. Release # 218 was the one on auction. Though to be fair it's been steadily rising in price for a while.

Are you sure ?

I could only find one copy at £200+ of "you look like an angel"

Plenty of "It's love that really counts"

I did feel describing "I can't forget about you" as a floorfiller stretching the truth somewhat.

214 is the original of the "I Can't Forget About You" tune and 218 is a Sussex reissue of it!

But with a better flip (218) 🙃!! (In my opinion of course!)
