Visual grade: M-, medium storage warp €450 John Laughter and The Third Generation – It’s our time / Dreams of a child – Cypress 45-101 Bangin’ psych funk from North Florida. Beautiful copy. Visual grade: EX €350 Maxine Womack – What’cha gon-na do / One step at a time – Tack 45-1561 Mid-tempo Cali sister funk double-sider. Gaining demand as we speak but oh so tough to track down. Visual grade: EX to M-, minor warp NAP €350 Vanja Orico – São os do norte que vêm / Pedro Boiadeiro – Mocambo 1296 Bossa jazz rarity that plays very well. Xeroxed sleeve! Visual grade: Strong VG €200 Doris & Kelley – You don’t have to worry / Groove me with your lovin’ – Brunswick 55327 Sweet ballad that has reached cult status in recent years. More noise in the second part, looks like it’s some dirt in the grooves that’s not coming out with my wet cloth. Someone with more knowledge/persistence may be more successful. Visual grade: G+ €150 Ya Ha Whoopie Band – Ride the music / Shake your mind – Camelot 701 Enigmatic Michigan fuzz psych deepness. Visual grade: VG+ €150 Teddy Reynolds – Anybody seen my woman / Skate city – Merging 470 Deep one on the always very cool Los Angeles label. Rare as hell, impossible in this condition. Visual grade: M-, minor warp NAP €150 Paul Ortiz – There’s no feeling / Gozar mi son – Mango Deep Chicano roller with massive potential and a nice salsa flip as an added bonus. Storage warp NAP Visual grade: M-, storage warp €125 Donald Tucker – Let him into your life / Lean on Jesus – T&B 101 Rare as hens teeth 70s gospel. Beautiful tune, and one of the cleanest copies around. Visual grade: Strong VG+ €125 Faye Marshall – Goin’ home / You and me – Brown Door Half steppin’ Bay Area sister funk 45 from the Marvin Holmes stable. Visual grade: Strong VG+ €100 The Moon People – Hippy, skippy, moon strut / Ode to Heidi Ann – Slew 452 Space-themed boogaloo jam on the rare first label. Superficial marks but plays nice and strong. Visual grade: Strong VG €100 Art Neville – Arabian love call / What’s going on – Specialty 656 Certified OG copy of this sure shot R&B floor filler. One of his very first releases, more than a decade before joining The Meters. Visual grade: EX €100 Jimmy Connor – The reality of life / Let’s get married – Shelly 10604 Cali sweet soul double-sider. Soul Essence sound that’s becoming increasingly sought-after. Visual grade: M- €100 Barbara Mason – Hello baby / Poor girl inn trouble – Arctic 126 One of many highlights from Barbara’s career. Crossover beauty in clean condition. Has two small pressing bubbles NAP. Visual grade: EX €80 Colours – Music makes it right / Let it move – Ball 4000 Private disco 45 that benefits from a very strong mixdown, courtesy of the GOAT, Mr. Tom Moulton. Visual grade: M- €75 Majestic Singers – I had to tell somebody / I’m holding out – One Way Upbeat Chicago gospel that develops into a disco funk tinged dancer. Rare! Visual grade: M-, storage warp €75 Dee Dee Gartrell – I must be doing something right – Maverick 1010 Funky double-sider, produced by The Mighty Hannibal! Some surface hazing but plays beautifully. Visual grade: VG+ €75 Tina Britt – You’re absolutely right / Look – Eastern 605 Gritty mid-sixties soul from NYC. Visual grade: EX €70 The Claytons – I want you / The Claytons – B. Racker 217 Fort Wayne, IN mid-sixties garage rock. No PS. Some superficial marks but plays above grade. Visual grade: Strong VG €60 Ike Paggett – Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone – Delta Wind 2602 Remarkably cool late 80s Casio and sax version from the Bay Area. Visual grade: M-, minor storage warp €55 Richard Blandon – Lost in the wilderness / I’m downtown – Vicki 229 Moody funk breaks with a cool garage flip. Visual grade: VG+ €50 The Four Sonics Plus One – Tell me you’re mine / Lost without you – Sepia 1 Lorraine Chandler production on the short-lived but all killer no filler Detroit imprint. Visual grade: M-, storage warp NAP €50 The Praying Six of Alabama – Pray a little longer / Don’t let his name go down – Richburg 116 Uptempo gospel mover on this Newark imprint that’s always worth checking out. Visual grade: M-, minor warp NAP €40 J.B. Bingham – Peek-a-boo (mono/stereo) – WB 7775 DJ Copy Super suave soul ballad. Hard to find first WB release from him before “All Alone”. Visual grade: VG+ €35
