A TRULY SAD LOSS ... the sudden passing of Geoff Burgess ...

Geoff was a soul & jazz man of some repute AND put on the great Soul Intent (South Yorks) nights over many years ...

A really really sad day for all of us who knew Geoff ,he was a true gentleman and we have great memories of the Soul Intent days .Total commitment from Geoff in everything he did in work and play,I cannot believe he has gone ,we will have an empty space in our lives.  R. I. P Geoff bless you and thanks for everything.

Completely gutted Mart, stunned yesterday.  A top man and good friend, so sad

Couldn't believe it when I was told , was only sat with Geoff about a month ago talking about music and putting the world to rights. Had some good times at the Soul Intent nights. 

Rest in peace Geoff.

Loved the jazz night that Geoff & I did at the Red, his dad was a big jazz fan and Geoff went back to his jazz roots. very knowledgeable man, new his music and always shared the music he had or new of. Playing his JAZZ around the bars in Leeds was the last time we met, a big loss to everyone that new him. RIP Geoff.

A very sad loss.Geoff had been to see us on the friday before he passed, he was in fine spirits.It was a shock to hear the news.Our thoughts go out to his family.
