Fred Parris - 244£

Judy Freeman - 624£

Hopkins Bros - 3166£

Syng McGowan - 316£

Applejacks - 276£

Volcanos - 365£

Temptations - 464£

I guess we all remember when Fred Parris was a 15-20 quid record in the 90s when there was no real demand for beat ballads. But I'm surprised it went for 244. It sure went for almost double that only a year or two ago.

Speaking of, does anyone know where the demand for it comes from? Lowrider collectors?

Is it hammered that bad again that the very few who missed on it all those decades are now throwing money at it in despair to 'own' one ? Or am I so 'out' with the 'in' crowd ? 🙃

beat ballads were still popular in the uk in the 90s early 2000s before  retro northern took its grip.. only a certain few get played in the main rooms now tho.. most are relegated to the side rooms and Sunday do’s.. wouldn’t have it any other way.. beats hearing in orbit 3 times a night

Yes and then it catches on others helping then to sustain the price 'boost' for even higher-end pricing generic genre sellers. Few copies offered as 'buy it now' on the evilBay for higher price tags than this auction... Sign of the times.

I had 2 mint white promos recently and sold them for £240 each.. issue is pretty common and can’t be worth mor than £150 despite being in fashion yet again
