Soulfulsolutions Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 (edited) A dozen corkers up for grabs, not a bad tune among them and more than one good side on some. Happy to provide additional images or sound files. Happy to hold until pay day. PM any questions or to reserve. Eddie Bishop – Call me – ABC 10799 Ex+ £300 SOLD (Top drawer horn driven instrumental dancer, something about black stock copies, even more attractive on the West Coast dot logo!) Dorothy Williams - The wells gone dry - Bandstand USA 1005 WD M- £200 SOLD (Catchy dancer on the local release before the more common Goldwax release, a hard to find demo and spotless) Gene Chandler – Mr. Big Shot – Constellation 172 WD Ex £325 SOLD (A definite move away from his early crooner style, big pounding dance floor filler, forceful vocals, fantastic sax break. ARP stamped) Lee Roye - Tears - Decca 32356 M- £550 SOLD (Cracking oldie on the super cool stock label, small drill hole. In top shape, all about condition, condition, condition!) Debonaires – How’s your new love treating you – Golden World 38 WD M- £80 SOLD (The Detroit girl group sound personified in just 2 minutes and 40 seconds, sensational vocals, pure as the driven snow. Almost invisible radio station stamp on top label. Condition, condition, condition) Jimmy Ruffin – Don’t feel sorry for me – Miracle 1 WD Ex+ £200 SOLD (First release on this Motown related label. Lovely up-tempo dancer and on the harder demo format) Edward Brothers – Keep on knockin’ – Music World 106 WD Ex £75 SOLD (Catchy under the radar 60’s dancer, superb backing harmonies, backed with the equally good flip “People say but they don’t know”. Penned dot on top side label) Sheila Ferguson – Are you satis-fied / And in return– Swan 4225 WD Ex+ £475 SOLD (You see ‘Heartbroken memories’ from this girl every now and then, whereas this one has remained much more elusive, even more so in this rarer demo format. It makes the likes of Tony Galla / Southbound Freeway look like an easy find….. 2 stunning femme tracks from the Swan catalogue. XOL) Al Wilson – Help me – Wand 1135 DJ Ex+ £600 SOLD (Up and at em’ dancer, with glorious squeaky sax and full on hand clapping dance beat. Always been in demand.
