Guest Kill_a_pig Posted December 29, 2004 Posted December 29, 2004 (edited) I thought it would be an idea to start a thread with a favourite track that doesn't get spins anymore. I would nominate James Brown - "Money wont change you", to start the ball rolling. https://the.soulclub.org/stream/James_Brown..._Change_You.ram Edited December 29, 2004 by Kill_a_pig

Guest Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 2 0f the best from my past & I know i will get a slaging for posting these I think it would be a brave man to play them out nowadays link Bobby Paris - stunning tune. Still played at oldies nights. My suggestion is Back Street - Edwin Starr. Heard Dave Rimmer play it at Peterborough, had forgotten what great sounds were on Ric Tic.
Paulb Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 if a track is as good as that ( i walked away ) why would it take a brave man to play it. I find it very strange that tracks get overlooked for the reason that some might turn their nose up at it. Who cares what these people think. Just because it hasn't been played for X amount of years surely doesn't mean that it should be forgotten for ever!!!!
Peter Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 Jerry Butler - One Night Affair Darrell Banks - Angel Baby Ray Merrell - Tears Of Joy The Knights - When You Drop Your Guard There are so many to choose from

Pete S Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 Mine is Jon Ford "You've Got Me Where you want me", why is this so hard to get? Phil link Same answer as with most of them - it wasn't bought at the time, radio didn't play it, badly promoted. But the mystery with this particular record is - the issues are relatively common - I've had 4 or 5 - but the demos are absolutely mega rare, probably less than 10 known Philips demos, nobody seems to know why.
Pete S Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 i prefer the stevie wonder version of angel baby ......was it ever played ? Davie link I think that's LP only so probably not

But The Knights isn't everyone's cup of tea I agree. Bloody got me singing it though
