(Up-tempo dancer on a small Chicago label with 5 releases, with this group the prominent band. This may be the the same outfit on the USA label rarity, the name Moore appears on many writer credits. Minor edge lift does not affect play)

Gladys Tyler & Ray Scott & Scottsmen - A little bitty girl - Decca 31991 Promo Ex £450

(Talented girl wrote this R&B bounder, a great track and not really surfaced in numbers given its major label status. Couple of light marks do not affect play)

Bronzettes - (Beggin’) baby please don’t go / Moments - Double Soul 108 M- £65

(Chicagoan quartet deliver 2 pleasing sides. Minor edge lift does not affect play)

Billy Watkins – Ice-man – Era 3183 Promo Ex £125

(Catchy vocals on this simple dancer, punctuated by cute girly backing. Small dot sticker and no6 on top label)

Lorraine Rudolph - Keep coming back for me - Jet Stream 817 M- £150

(A gritty femme belter that’s gaining some traction and going up in peoples estimations quickly)

Classic Sullivans - Shame, shame, shame - Master Key 03 M-£120

(What a tune, male group soul harmonies at the top end. Minor edge lift does not affect play)

Tobi Lark – I’ll steal your heart – Palmer 500 WD Ex- £250

(The delectable Tobi Legend, what an artist, some fabulous Detroit outings, this one a cheeky dancefloor blinder. Rarer white demo, some surface marks that DNAP, so grading is visual, it plays great at Ex+)

Tobbi Bowe – I can feel him slipping away – Patheway 103 Promo Ex £550

(It appears this big production girly backed Hollywood release is a cover of the Mamie Lee, MGM track. Ignore the flip title “groovy feeling” its as far away as Soul can be from flower power, brilliant dancefloor track. Remained hard to find. Small sticker dot on either side, highlighter circle on. Some nearly inaudible pops)

Jimmy (Soul) Clark - Sweet darlin’ - Soul Hawk 001 Ex+ £175

(Detroit class, never fails to lift a listener. Red label but rarer with SILVER text, minor edge lift does not affect play)

Love Potion – This love – TCB Ex £100

(Exquisite femme soul, a perfect beat ballad, couple of light marks and tiny edge lift, none of which affects a brilliant play)
