(Another local label, this time a Gamble and Huff Philly release before the Atco double sider. Kas-Mo publishing linked to Vent label outings. Not marked as a demo but likely to be with the more common blue label variant about)

(Man, just listen to that spoken intro, straight out the ghetto, what a story line)

(Infectious crossover, ever popular)

Moses Smith – Keep on striving – Cotillion 44075 WD M- £400 SOLD

(Philly local with the talent to write this great crossover tune on the Speciality pressing)

Kavetts – I’ve got to tell you a story – Lendre 101 DJ Ex+ £500

(Some big names surround this early 60s femme R&B 45, including Karl Tarleton, Richard Parker and Andre Williams all prolific on the Chicago scene. Same group as the Okeh release, but no other outings?)

Dottie Cambridge – Cry your eyes out – MGM 13846 M- £125 SOLD

(Staple Northern dancer on a stocker, that kaleidoscope MGM always catches my eye)

Madeline Bell - Picture me gone - Mod 1007 Ex £35 SOLD

(Lovely first issue of this Northern standard, flip it over for the impressive “I’m gonna make you love me” which Dusty reportedly backed, wow! Comes with Vg+ company sleeve)

Harold Burrage - Fifty fifty - M-Pac 7211 M- £220 HOLD

(Soulful Chicago R&B at its best, beautiful label design)

Ikettes - What’cha gonna do - Phi-Dan 5009 DJ Ex+ £175 SOLD

(Another that’s grown in popularity and therefore demand the last few years, no wonder, its superb)

(Fabulous dancer, full on group Soul, such a great looking label, drill hole)

(What a voice, mellow beat ballad of the highest order)
