Soulfulsolutions Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 (edited) Vermillion is the colour spectrum, a bit of pink, orange and red to classify this excellent label selection of in demand soul 45s up for grabs tonight. Happy to provide additional images or sound files. PM any questions or to reserve. Ike (Isaiah) Porter & Fabulations – You ain’t seen nothing yet – Anla 107 Ex £700 (Very rare Lake Charles release on Eddie Shulers label catering for the hybrid east Texas and south Louisiana audience. Better known for the Charles Green release, this raw unpolished group soul 45 with a sort of lowrider flip has rarely surfaced, the few copies that have are normally beaten up. Producers name penned out on both labels and the faintest edge lift) Diplomats - Cards on the table - Arock 1000 M- £300 SOLD (The desirable red stock copy, with labels fully intact, but minor wear around small part of flip spindle hole. Find one in this condition!) Johnny Dixon - Where are you - Boss 103 Ex+ £80 SOLD (Lovely mid 60s Detroit tune, from the label stable that hosts Sport and Sir-Rah) Gladys Tyler & Ray Scott & Scottsmen - A little bitty girl - Decca 31991 Promo Ex £500 (Talented girl wrote this R&B bounder, a great track and not relay surfaced in numbers given its major label status. Couple of light marks do not affect play) Dee Edwards - (I can) deal with that - De-To 2285 M- £300 (Alabama born Detroit soul songstress serves up a beauty) Bronzettes - (Beggin’) baby please don’t go / Moments - Double Soul 108 M- £65 (Chicagoan quartet deliver 2 pleasing sides. Minor edge lift does not affect play) Gloria Taylor - Total disaster - Mercury 73186 Ex £50 (Prolific and underrated songstress, with a stunning catalogue. This choice is a hidden gem) Carol Anderson - It shouldn’t happen to a dog / Holding on - Mid-Town 270 M- £180 (Of “Sad girl” and “Taking my mind off love” fame, this 72 Detroit from Carol brings 2 great sides together. Not often seen for sale and a bit under the radar) Irene & Scotts - I’m stuck on my baby / Why do you treat me like you do - Smash 2138 M- £200 SOLD (Boisterous double sider, drill hole) Jimmy (Soul) Clark - Sweet darlin’ - Soul Hawk 001 Ex+ £200 (Detroit class, never fails to lift a listener. Red label but rarer with SILVER text, minor edge lift does not affect play) Syl Johnson - Do you know what love is - Special Agent 200 Ex+ £500 SOLD (In my top five, outstanding track, could have done with it being double the recording time. SP1 piano intro mix. Some very minor pressing bubbles that do not affect play) PayPal by friends or add 4% please, or bank transfer.
