Simsy Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 (edited) Think someone asked the question on here a year or so back. Only seen one VG+ water damaged label go in Oct 2004 for about a hundred and eighty quid. So what would that make a minter go for these days, £250 or more? Whose got on dj'wise? Doesn't get played out that much I don't think. Anymore info much appreciated. Edited February 28, 2007 by Simsy

Can't remember what I paid but wasn't excessively expensive.
Chalky Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Not that rare is it? Great record. Was played quite a lot a few years back I'm sure. As Phil will assure you, a rich man can no more ride a camel through the eye of a needle than you can have my copy of George Tindley. Sorry and all that! Just the kind of record that I'm definitely keeping for good. As Shaw Taylor said though, keep 'em peeled, you will get one and if I see one I'll PM you. Edited February 26, 2007 by Stuart T
Nick Hackett Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 (edited) I bought my mint copy about 4 years ago, great tune.Dont see too often for sale,i know Butch has/had one in his sales box. I will give mine a spin at the next Middleton. Edited February 26, 2007 by nick hackett
Simsy Posted February 26, 2007 Author Posted February 26, 2007 Thanks chaps. Still a bit fuzzy on price. But I guess thats cos it doesn't come up that often. Unless Chalks knows anymore?
Simsy Posted February 26, 2007 Author Posted February 26, 2007 I would say £300-350 for a mint copy. Cheers Nick.
Guest Stuart T Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 I would say £300-350 for a mint copy. Christ on a unicycle!
Ted Massey Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Christ on a unicycle! I paid £50 circa 1990 but it was not that rare and it aint that good IMO
Simsy Posted February 26, 2007 Author Posted February 26, 2007 I paid £50 circa 1990 but it was not that rare and it aint that good IMO Wanna sell it? Wanna sell it???

Guest Jamie Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Would have thought 250/300. Sure I put one on a list for Andy D last year @ £250 I think It may have been that list that I last saw it on. Certainly not 'rare' rare Rich played it at Soulsville pretty regularly. Think his is on an issue - confirm Rich? Not sure which is harder. Damn great record IMHO, and a bit of a clarion call to the dance floor if I may be so bold to use that hackneyed old expression Jamie.
ShorterSoul Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 paid £250 for an Ex copy off J Manship about 2 months ago. I remember phoning Soul Bowl for this in the early 80's when it was on their list for £10..
Simsy Posted February 27, 2007 Author Posted February 27, 2007 Well as said above, clearly not that rare then. By the sounds of things £250 ish for an Ex copy - demo would seem about right?
ShorterSoul Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 i think it's one of those records that, although it's not that rare, when a copy does come up for sale it ain't around for very long... i was after a copy of this for a few years before i secured my copy of JM.. great record, imo best regards Jon
