Mike Posted February 3, 2023 Posted February 3, 2023 Had the below passed on to us.... Yamaha’s WAY UP HOUSE It was launched in 2021 for the first year in Barcelona and brought together musicians from across the globe to co-write and create music together over the course of so many days. Yamaha saw a gap in the market for world music collaboration and what it can bring to the industry. In 2022 it took place in New York. They documented the whole thing and it now available to watch on Youtube. Yamaha is a global music brand and over the past two years, has been on a mission to turn the idea of music writing on its head with its Way Up House initiative. Over 3 days, Yamaha brings together the most exciting new music talent in a house to play, record and write. In teams, the six musicians including Jas Kayser and Sam Fischer have made new music that spans genres – demonstrating the true power of collaboration across music boarders.
