Kenb
John Pavlik (Powers) had a 5 year tenure at Motown (which i believe he regarded as not so good). He also mastered for such labels as Capital,Roulette, Warner Brothers, Philly Groove, Epic, Ariola America, and many other labels. Power's entrepreneurial skills resulted in the publishing companies begun by him. Powerhouse Music and Jet-Eye Music, Inc. With Jet-Eye, Powers played a pivotal role in revitalizing the career of his friend George Clinton by licensing Clinton's music to various labels around the world. In 1973 he also owned Discount Tape Shack. I'm prretty sure ( but happy to be corrected) that he was influential at Sound Incorporated and Sidra/Drew Records, the Detroit-area studios and record companies he co-owned in the 1960s and '70s.
