Admirations - My Admiration For You/Heaven Is In Your Arms (Paree) Ex £350

Increasing interest in sweet soul and lowrider 45s has seen demand for this exquisite group harmony ballad increase significantly and, as a consequence, the price has more than doubled with its last two sales on Discogs reaching £500 in 2020 and £525 last year, my last copy went to a US collector in BIG trade. Flip it for another wonderful slab of northern group harmony that has - as mentioned- been somewhat overlooked in favour of some of their other outings. Beware not all sides play ‘Heaven’ in the flip, but this ones does (a rarity of a rarity). This doesn’t get come to market often, and when it does it’s a lot more expensive! Don’t sleep.

Willie G & The Six Pack - Lonely Lullaby/Brown Baby (Gordo) Mint- £100

A genuinely hard to find solo outing by the King of Chicano Soul and a superb twofer. Both sides are sublime lowrider soul, ‘Lonely’ is my preference but the flip (actually a version of Jade’s Brown and Beautiful) will have it’s fans. Tough 45 to find and one that’s still relatively under the radar. Not many this good still at this price level!

Little Tommy Payton - Once In My Life / Once Again My Girl Has Gone (Harvest) Ex £100

From Lilttle Willie to Little Tommy (seamless). Mega rare kiddie soul ballad, only recently uploaded to YouTube (the flip is decent too but has yet to be featured anywhere). Very tough 45 to acquire in any condition, nice clean copy here for what’s a relatively cheap price given this record’s rarity (seen sell at £200 too!)

Edwards Generation - Someone Like You (Ghetto) £15

Last but by no means least, the final copy I have of this early Edwards Generation kiddie soul lowrider killer. Last three I had flew out, don’t miss out - it won’t be this cheap next time!
