It's beautifully filmed and the story's promising , but you know what it's like when you doze off watching a film and wake up not knowing what you missed ... well with this I kept dozing off and when I woke up it was as if I was still at the point that my eyelids dropped ...

have to laugh as this is what happened when recently tried to re-watch his 'Dances with Wolves'

Just started to re watch "Silicon Valley" it's on HBO via one of those 'dodgy' thingymajigs.

It's a comedy set around a tech start up company. If you like nerdy tech stuff along with laddish behaviour you'll love it

Just watched the 1st episode of season 2, looks promising..............

it was terrible, and the last episode  was twaddle. I thought that it would turn out that way, can see there being 20 series, same formula and no improvement!

Just binged on all  'Mr Inbetween' series last week, maybe a bit late to the party on that one

Have just been doing the same thing.

I then did a quick search to see what else that Scott Ryan had appeared in and was pleasantly surprised to find that there was a 2005 movie called "The Magician"  that was the first outing for the character Ray Shoesmith , written and directed by Scott himself , and even more pleasantly surprised to find it available on YouTube ...

Cheers for that , it's been so long since the first half of the series aired that I'm presently revisiting it before starting thenew episode.

As for Mr Costner's 'epic' western thing "Horizon : An American Saga" , I've tried it twice but I find it's like wading through treacle.

Landman has just started up

It's another show from that Taylor Sheridan geezer and so its very much similar to Yellowstone and that prison one (the titles gone)

This time we are talking Texan oil fields, we both enjoyed the first one here and it's recommended if ya like the guys other stuff

Paramount the official source

Anything with Billy Bob Thornton in it is worth a try.

Halfway through this and it's very good. If you're interested in podcasts I can highly recommend - Assume Nothing 'The Handler' on BBC sounds. Memoirs of a Special Branch officer during the troubles and how he handled IRA 'touts'

Is there a thread for soaps or would anyone be interested in one dedicated purely to one?
I’m thinking Eastenders (my personal favourite) Coronation Street, Emmerdale etc.

Aaah , just had that bittersweet moment you experience when you finish watching the final episode of something very good indeed.

Thank you to the makers of "Yellowstone" , it's been a great journey ...

I'm watching Boston Legal from the beginning how i had never seen it before i dont know. ive never experienced so many laugh out loud moments. William Shatner is brilliant in it. I'm at series 3 episode 9 and the last few with the Little lady in them have been wonderful.

Oh and watch Landman on Paramount+ its really good

A series that with a changing cast never dropped in quality, many treats still in store for you Ted, William Shatner ages like a fine wine.

Why would you watch all five series , fifty-two episodes , and then skip the final chapter ... ?

I'm nearly through all of the seasons, but I'm on the look out for a seriously good cops and robbers series or film. French cinema is a favourite but there's some other good European stuff out there.

There’s a series called Gangs of London which is very good. You may want to check it out as it’s got that cops and robbers element to it. It’s very gritty.

Thanks mate I appreciate the reply. I've watched a bit of that but then forgot where I got to! I've been tinkering with the idea of rewatching from the beginning again so your prompt will encourage me to go back to it. I think I've seen that there's a new series on the way.

I felt a bit silly calling you Sweetchocolate, what's your name? I'm sure that you're very sweet nonetheless. 🙂

Because of the wait, and the cost, it was free to me via Apple for a while, and to be honest I just havent got round to it. The gap between the end of the series and the final episode was a while wasnt it?

I did however pay to watch the project Kevin Costner left to make, Horizon : American Saga, which was ok I thought, but no where as good as Yellowstone.  At least there are 2 more chapters to come in that series, so it can redeem it's self.

There was a wait which seemed an eternity I have to admit.

But the wait was worth it for sure , you do realise that the break was after episode 8 but there are another 6 after the return making 14 in all , not just a single hour and a half finale ?

I tried watching Costner's other project , a supposed masterpiece according to the hyperbole , but I found it a complete snoozefest to be honest , two attempts and I've yet to make it to the end of Part 1 , beautifully made for sure but oh so slow ... !
