Bunderthollox Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 Reading like a guest list of a dinner party of the world's most loved and esteemed personages in soul music industry, the Guardian talks vaguely about 'the boss' butchering an unquestionably loved and extensively played record. This should pack em in at some venues. https://www.theguardian.com/music/2022/nov/19/bruce-springsteen-cover-reignites-row-over-lost-northern-soul-classic
Solution Mike Posted November 22, 2022 Solution Posted November 22, 2022 there's a few mentions already news topic here 1
Happy Feet Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 Interesting take in this month's The Atlantic , https://www.theatlantic.com/culture/archive/2022/11/bruce-springsteen-only-the-strong-survive-soul-covers-album/672177/ . I think that should work if anyone's interested. 1
Chalky Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 (edited) As the article says about the album, "It’s just pointless". I can't believe this topic is still wasting good cyber space, I thought everything that needed to be said had been said over at least two topics. Yet when news of a quality album that features unissued tracks from some of our musics greats, music that should be more relevant to this forum, it generates zero interest. SWONS indeed. Guest Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 If you are talking about Soul4Real’s imminent LP I’ve all ready sent Alex Subinas an order. It really is mouthwatering.
Johndelve Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 Yes, agreed. The soul4real LP looks great and deserves to sell ten times more than it sadly probably will......my order is - of course - already in.... 1
