Absolute killer lowrider deepie of such quality I’m surprised it’s still this cheap given prices on 45s that are nowhere near as good! Flip is a storming, seemingly forgotten, northern dancer with legs left in it for enterprising DJs. Doesn’t show often either!

Shalong - Lady (Red Coach) Mint £50 

It was only a few months ago I picked up a few of these when it was a virtually unknown, albeit absolute killer, slightly ‘off the beat’ lowrider 45. At the time there were probably 14 copies on Discogs anywhere between £10-£20. All long gone! Anecdotally heard someone bought all six copies John Manship had. I’ve managed to source four Mint store stick copies from a US contact (only have two left so be quick!)

A future £100+ 45 without a doubt (oh and remember demos are double sided mono/stereo and don’t include this cut. Judge for yourself…

Charlottia Gilbert - Falling In Love With Him (Veep WD) Vg++ £60

Killer lowrider cut that seems so far off the radar here, but has just enough beat to crossover. Stunning lead vocals with full on male group harmony backing. Seems a hard number on the label too, with prices the way they are for this type of sound currently and the quality of this 45 it’s a bargain. Don’t sleep.

Little Tommy Payton - Once In My Life / Once Again My Girl Has Gone (Harvest) Ex £150

Mega rare kiddie soul ballad from the ‘Mountain of Soul’ man. Only recently uploaded to YouTube (the flip is decent too but has yet to be featured anywhere). Very tough 45 to acquire in any condition, nice clean copy here for what’s a relatively cheap price given this record’s rarity.
