Mega rare kiddie soul ballad from the ‘Mountain of Soul’ man. Only recently uploaded to YouTube (the flip is decent too but has yet to be featured anywhere). Very tough 45 to acquire in any condition, nice clean copy here for what’s a relatively cheap price given this record’s rarity.

Killer double sider! ‘Hey Boy’ is a massive in demander with low rider collectors and a gorgeous piece of female group soul. Flip it for funk edged northern with plenty of mileage left in it. Both sides have that distinctive Dale Warren production that never ever ages. Surprised this has yet to increase steeply in price like so many others of its kind, probably only a matter of time! Don’t sleep.
