The Debonaires - Please Come Back Baby / Untrue Woman on Soul Click. £408 incl postage to UK.

I would grade as VG, but guess this is subjective!

Please Come Back Baby has been 'cleaned up' by Yann and apart from a few audible clicks at the start plays really well. Have played it out at Cleethorpes weekender, Brid weekender and Blind Pig this year and a mate checked the sound from the back of the room and said it played well. A little noise in the quiet section.

Untrue Woman has a few audible clicks, not too bad at the start but a small 3mm scratch causes a few pops / clicks half way through, I never noticed them!

This is what a well known record dealer said a few years ago when he put one up for auction:

RARE Texas vocal-group excellence.

Top-drawer male vocal group harmony woven into a primitive brass propelled production that compliments the rasping lead vocal and the squawking girl group back-up.

In the true tradition of pure Northern Soul there is not a commercial note in the whole session. Attitude driven lead, unhinged ladies softened by a masterly male bass vocal adding an occasional but impressive word or two.

Flip it for a sublime group-harmony soulful ballad.

Truly fabulous in it's primitiveness, RARE in the extreme.

Label wear as seen for both sides.

Full sound video on facebook Rare Soul Sales, too large for this site.

Thanks
