Allison & Calvin Turner - Yeah Memories (LuLu) Mint- £250

Stone cold killer lowrider. Hard on Checker, impossible on Lamp and pretty close to hen’s teeth on LuLu, check Popsike and Discogs and you’ll find very, very few LuLu copies have gone through. I’ve had two Checker copies that absolutely flew out (one to a top US collector who has a collection to die for!) that was over a year ago and I’ve seen none since. With prices going on the direction they are on sweet soul/lowrider 45s and given the rarity of this 45 I’d say £250 was a steal! Don’t sleep.

Five Towns - Advice (U.K. Direction) Mint-  £150

One of my personal favourites from the Shades of Sorrow comps, that intro and then those horns! Amazingly this one had a U.K. release although ironically it seems as rare if not rarer than the local label US one! One that rarely shows and will only rise in value.

Group From Queens - Your Search Is Over (Veep WD) Vg+ (plays Ex, writing on label see image) £35

Had a couple of these a year/year and a half ago both of which flew out to discerning collectors at not far off double this price. Copies have dried up since but this one is still very much under the radar and has enormous potential. Not the prettiest to look at but you’re gonna listen to it ain’t ya, not look at it?!
